BeeManaged is a small team that builds AI agents and keeps them running. We started with conversational product advice for manufacturers in 2020, and Joost and Peter run agents every day in their own company, Places.nl.
Our story
Manufacturers were stuck with static product finders and lead forms while their customers wanted to talk. We started BeeManaged to replace those with agents that hold the conversation.
At the same time, Places.nl, the company Joost and Peter own, started running agents of its own: an AI answering service for the phone since 2023, and an advice agent for its services. That is where Joost and Peter learned what it takes to keep an agent useful after launch, and it is why every BeeManaged agent comes with monthly management.

Joost Nijensteen
AI vision and product strategy
Joost is an entrepreneur who has worked on AI-driven customer experiences since 2020. He shapes the agents that guide customers through complex choices.
At BeeManaged he leads product strategy: which conversations an agent should take over, and how it fits the customer journey.
Roy Rutten
AI architecture and development
Roy is a software architect with more than ten years of experience in AI and machine learning. Conversational systems are his speciality.
He builds the agents and the integrations behind them, from the conversation engine to the link with a client's CRM or ticketing system.
Peter Davelaar
AI marketing and business intelligence
Peter is an entrepreneur with more than fifteen years in digital marketing. He works full time at BeeManaged and co-owns Places.nl with Joost, where agents have handled real customer contact since 2023.
At BeeManaged he makes sure agents understand where a customer is in their journey, using the See-Think-Do-Care model, and that the monthly reports lead to decisions.
